Welkom op mijn blog.
Je zult hier geen verslagen vinden van dag tot dag en van kilometer tot kilometer, dat lijkt me veel te saai. Daarnaast is mijn plan ook in maanden opgesteld. Eerste maand proberen in Zweden te geraken, tweede maand door Zweden. Maand 3 wil ik in Tromsø, Noorwegen zijn,… en op 26 oktober 2019 moet ik in La Fosca zijn, net boven Barcelona. Dus zou het wat ridicuul zijn om plots dag tot dag of week tot week verslaan.
Wat je hier vooral zal vinden zijn – niet noodzakelijk chronologische- gebeurtenissen, hersenspinsels, anekdotes die door het toeval gelinkt worden, ontmoetingen – waar ik er al talloze van heb gehad-,…
Ik zal afwisselend in Nl en Eng schrijven, als de technologie het toelaat, dan kun je in het menu de gewenste taal kiezen. Let op, het zijn meestal verschillende artikelen, dus ode aan de meertaligheid!
Hopelijk neem ik je zo een beetje mee op reis.

We saw your bike yesterday on the promenade of Carcavelos beach. Someone told us you had gone for a swim – in Mid-February!!! We hope that a lot of Portuguese will take note of your venture as this country is not exactly paving the way for cyclists like other countries do. We wish you good luck for you further travels!

Hi, thanks for your message, i was surfing. It was great. There is indeed a lot of work to do to make the country bicycle friendly. On the good site, there are already some nice bicycle lanes and i meet a lot of people who see cycling as a real way of transportation!

Benoit, chapeau, echt waar. Mijn vriend, Rudy en ik, Jacqueline hadden het “voorrecht ” om jou ergens in het Zuiden van Spanje tegen te komen. Rudy had de Belgische vlag , fier zien wapperen aan je sunbiker en maakte onmiddellijk rechtsomkeer. De wagen trok jouw aandacht en jij stopte. Wij stellen ons voor, dat jij jouw verhaal al ettelijke malen hebt verteld. Toch blijf je er geduldig, enthousiast onder. Het lichtje in jouw ogen vraagt en hoopt op meer van dat. Benoit, jij bent al maanden met jouw Bike, met jezelf en de natuur op reis en het doet goed. Dat straalt van je af. Met veel aandacht en bewondering volgen we jouw blog. We willen meer van dat. Ik ben stiekem fier dat jouw Belgisch vlaggetje het al zoveel km’s goed doet. Benoit, geniet van alles vriend, jij bent echt goed bezig.

Your English is quite good. If you want to spend a bit more of your valuable time, then I can show you where your mistakes are, and then you can correct those mistakes of yours. You might enjoy the extra time you spend on improving your English. Or if you do not want to correct your mistakes, then you can just only learn from me for the next time that you type.

I gotta say your an inspiration, I’ve recently switched over to a ONYX RCR electric moped for my daily commute and find It exciting to ride free of fossil fuels and insurance/licensing racketeering. I’ve got about 100Watts of Solar i’ve been running a Raspbery Pi server for the last few years. I cant wait to expand my array for my bike bypassing inverters and maybe figure a way to add modular VAWT capability for when there is more wind than sun.
Keep up the good work, hopefully we can get the more global paths for low speed human electric EV.

Hi, thanks for your reaction, I have been looking into VAWT. It is less productive. In my opinion the main issue is the moment you want to put it up is at night, but at te same time you want to find a sheltered place for a good night sleep. So you want a lot of wind an no wind at the same time.
